The Board consists of 5 elected and 4
appointed directors (appointed by the ED and approved by the board members present) .
Quorum is not less than half the number of directors (e.g. 5 or more).
Elected positions are Executive Director,
Treasurer, Competition Director, Marketing Director, and Education.
Appointed positions will be, but not limited
to Secretary, Newsletter Editor, Membership Director, and Statistician.
Terms are for 3-years and staggered, to
improve continuity.
From a membership and a board
perspective, it's not the titles that are important, but the duties/responsibilities of
the board member, and ultimately their achievements.
Now thanks to the widespread acceptance of the
Internet among members, we can begin to have better documentation and procedures, now that
documents are always available on-line, relieving subsequent directors from having to
continually hunt down documents and redistribute them.
This document identifies the responsibilities of
each board position.

tasks are broken out from the above tasks because in the past few years, the FPA has had
difficulty in finding volunteers to complete the must-do tasks above, so these actions
have only been a dream.
